Philadelphia, PA, July 6, 2010 – A dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony to formally open Einstein’s new Cardiac Rehabilitation Center was held last month, attended by network leaders, physicians, donors and patients. With support from the Women’s League for Medical Research, the Center was built on Einstein’s Germantown campus to help patients recover after a heart attack, cardiac surgery, and other heart conditions, through individualized treatment programs that include monitored exercise, education and lifestyle counseling. The American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology recommend cardiac rehabilitation programs to help patients stabilize, slow or reverse the progression of cardiovascular disease.
June 9, 2010 – Philadelphia, PA – Albert Einstein Healthcare Network and Albert Einstein Medical Center have each been recognized by the Premier healthcare alliance as winners of the Premier Award for Quality (AFQ). The 2010 award is the second consecutive AFQ given to Albert Einstein Medical Center and the first for the Einstein network overall; this is the first year Premier has evaluated healthcare systems for quality awards.
