New Cardiac Rehab Center Provides Continuum of Care For Heart Patients

Philadelphia, PA, July 6, 2010 – A dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony to formally open Einstein’s new Cardiac Rehabilitation Center was held last month, attended by network leaders, physicians, donors and patients.  With support from the Women’s League for Medical Research, the Center was built on Einstein’s Germantown campus to help patients recover after a heart attack, cardiac surgery, and other heart conditions, through individualized treatment programs that include monitored exercise, education and lifestyle counseling. The American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology recommend cardiac rehabilitation programs to help patients stabilize, slow or reverse the progression of cardiovascular disease.

Einstein Sells $310 Million in Bonds to Fund Construction of New Regional Medical Center

     Philadelphia, PA, June 25, 2010 -- Albert Einstein Healthcare Network has sold $310 million in FHA Insured Bonds, the proceeds of which will be used to fund the construction of the New Regional Medical Center (NRMC) in East Norriton Township.

Einstein Initiates First Korean Community Health & Education EXPO

Philadelphia, PA, June 16, 2010 -- As part of its outreach to the Korean community, Albert Einstein Healthcare Network initiated and organized the first Korean Community Health & Education EXPO.  Spearheaded by Rev. Sung-Won Paek, Einstein’s Cultural Development Specialist, with the help of the Phillip Jaisohn Memorial Foundation and Family Services of Montgomery County, more than 300 people from the Korean community attended the EXPO.  The event was hosted by the North Penn Area Coalition for Korean Americans and held at Pennbrook Middle School in North Wales, Penna.

Einstein Earns Two Awards for Quality from the Premier Healthcare Alliance

June 9, 2010 – Philadelphia, PA – Albert Einstein Healthcare Network and Albert Einstein Medical Center have each been recognized by the Premier healthcare alliance as winners of the Premier Award for Quality (AFQ). The 2010 award is the second consecutive AFQ given to Albert Einstein Medical Center and the first for the Einstein network overall; this is the first year Premier has evaluated healthcare systems for quality awards.
